It is important to us to promote young talent and give young people an introduction to STEM professions. The aim of the event was to give the ninth graders an early insight into career opportunities in the IT sector and thus create a basis for their later career orientation.
During the presentation, our core business, the digitalization and optimization of productions with our FASTEC 4 PRO software, was clearly explained. Our employees Linda Bauer and Edwin Schott also talked to the participants about their own experiences in the STEM field and then presented various job profiles at FASTEC. The focus was on providing an insight into the personal experiences of our employees and various project phases. The ninth graders were introduced to the associated activities and qualifications of our employees. At the same time, the diversity of professions in software companies was conveyed. They were also shown what entry opportunities there are for pupils and students.
Linda and Edwin sum up:
The students were noticeably interested and participated very well. We had a lot of fun. We were able to credibly convey that you don’t have to have expertise in the STEM field to apply to us. Everyone is welcome here!
To round off the event, a competition was held. Interested students were given the opportunity to answer presentation-related questions from the companies on a competition form. JBL wireless headphones, an Amazon voucher, an exit game and an Amazon Echo Show 5 were raffled off. The digital excursion was a complete success for both the students and the companies. We are delighted with the successful event and that we were able to be a part of this important campaign!
A special thank you for the great organization and commitment goes to Kristin Yiğit from dSPACE and a big thank you also goes to Linda Bauer and Edwin Schott for their motivating exchange with the young talents. We would also like to thank the students for their active participation and wish them all the best for the future!
