Just a few weeks after the launch of the FASTEC 4 PRO Quality Assurance (QA) module, Managing Director Christian Reusch is very satisfied with the demand situation: “With the QA module, we are providing the solution module for seamless digital order documentation – paperless, configurable and traceable at the touch of a button.” There is interest from existing and potential new customers across all sectors and company sizes. The first installations are already in the project planning phase.
The module is particularly impressive due to the range of freely configurable functions. These range from defining the inspection plan type and different inspection orders to status schemes for status transitions and rights assignments. The detailed definition of test characteristics, including specification of the test equipment, determination of limit types, limits to be complied with and requests for action underlines the adaptability to special customer requirements. The functionality is supplemented by a wide range of triggers, e.g. time-based or related to the respective production order.
Two key benefits are obvious, namely the significant reduction in time spent due to the elimination of manual protocols, as well as the sustainable reduction in potential sources of error due to possible transmission errors. In addition to the simple integration into FASTEC 4 PRO without an additional IT interface, the possible integration of MDA data directly into the inspection order is particularly attractive.
“We have reached the first milestone of ensuring consistent transparency regarding the creation, modification and release of inspection orders,” explains Reusch. At the same time, however, he points out that the QA module will soon come up with further functions. After all, FASTEC’s overriding goal is to consistently support the paperless production approach with convincing solutions.
