Bausch Health Companies: Worldwide Roll-Out of FASTEC 4 PRO

With around 40 production sites, Bausch Health Companies Inc. is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of healthcare products. Over 50 percent of Group sales are generated with Bausch + Lomb products for the eye – including contact lenses, surgical instruments and pharmaceuticals. The product portfolio also includes dermatological medicines and drugs for the treatment of gastrointestinal complaints.

The company has been using FASTEC’s MES at its plants in Berlin and Aubenas (France) for several years. Employees at the factories use FASTEC 4 PRO to collect downtime and loss information from their filling and packaging areas, ultimately optimizing production processes. In addition to the meaningful data, the intuitive operability and the flexible and customer-specific use of the MES also ensure the company’s high level of satisfaction.

The successful collaboration is now being expanded globally: “Building on the trust we have built up over many years, we began working more closely with the FASTEC team at the beginning of the year to integrate FASTEC 4 PRO into our global production network in Poland, Italy, Egypt and China. With the help of the system, we are launching a global initiative to optimize our manufacturing processes,” explains Sven Katzky, EMEA Director Process Excellence & Lean at Bausch Health Companies.

Other forward-looking topics such as connectivity to SAP and Production Planning also play a central role and are now being driven forward together.
