As one of Europe’s leading manufacturers, BODE Chemie GmbH offers products and solutions for disinfection, cleaning, care and skin antiseptics. BODE Chemie GmbH, based in Hamburg, is a subsidiary of PAUL HARTMANN AG, Heidenheim. Together, they offer comprehensive system solutions for the healthcare sector, which are available in more than 50 countries around the world. The aim of the digitization process was to create a transparent, digital recording system that can meet all of BODE Chemie’s production requirements today and in the years to come.

Reasons For Choosing FASTEC:
Data security and integration were the top priorities. The integration of specifications from the GMP guidelines was taken into account. Added to this were the performance and usability of FASTEC 4 PRO. Processes can be optimally supported thanks to the ease of use. Support is also available throughout and the price-performance ratio was right.
In addition, the entry into digital manufacturing with the easyOEE productivity measuring device already demonstrated clear added value. Therefore, the positive experiences with easyOEE also contributed to the decision to continue the project with the MDA/PDA solution from FASTEC.
Course Of The Project:
During the test phase, the focus was on reporting downtimes. By recording order-related downtimes, the downtimes could be substantiated with easyOEE. Based on this data, BODE Chemie GmbH was able to identify the most common reasons for downtimes and derive priorities for optimization measures. The introduction of easyOEE ensured an awareness of optimization potential in production. The project then started in 2018 with FASTEC 4 PRO. The simple commissioning and easy expansion of the software at all terminals was a major advantage. FASTEC 4 PRO has now been extended to all production lines.
OEE Development:
The OEE targets were in the upper, double-digit range and the expectations for optimization with FASTEC were even exceeded. Since the introduction of FASTEC 4 PRO, documentation via the terminals has been much simpler and faster. This has more than halved the workload for the company and the entire OEE history is available at the touch of a button.
