Under the motto “More productivity in production – in the fast lane with MES and OEE”, the FASTEC User Forum took place for the third time in Paderborn on 4 November 2014. The organisers were able to welcome more than 100 participants to the world’s largest computer museum, the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum, thanks to the mixture of interesting specialist lectures, live presentations and, above all, the opportunity to exchange experiences.
“The high number of participants once again confirms that we are meeting the needs of our guests with our user forum,” says a delighted Christian Reusch, Managing Director of FASTEC. As in the last two years, the basis for this success is the combination of practical presentations on the topics of MES and OEE with live presentations of the organiser’s three software solutions. Participants also made intensive use of the additional expert discussions on offer.
Here, detailed questions could be exchanged and problems discussed in small groups directly at the software. The FASTEC 4 PRO Cup was also a special highlight this year. Here, the audience was able to test the flexibility of the MES system and the productivity measuring device in detail on a Carrera track. True to the motto “In the fast lane with MES and OEE”, the three best drivers were determined and honoured at the end of the event.
In their initial feedback, the participants particularly praised the opportunity to exchange experiences: “I found the discussions with other users particularly interesting, how they use the software and what experiences they have had,” said Christian Arndt from AK Feinrohr GmbH. The organisers also scored points with their selection of practical presentations. The pre-event programme with a champagne reception, city tour and subsequent dinner was also very well received.
“I particularly liked the atmosphere and the professionalism of the event,” summarised Stefan Rohn from Salzenbrodt GmbH & Co. KG and adds in conclusion: “The FASTEC User Forum is an excellent platform for orientation and a signpost in the specialised field of MES.”
