As part of the promotion of young IT talent, the company dSPACE organized a digital excursion with the regional technology companies Connext Vivendi, TEAM, S&N Invent and with us, FASTEC, from Paderborn. As young people often do not yet know exactly what career path they want to take, it is all the more important for companies to provide comprehensive information about career prospects at an early stage. This gave 150 ninth-grade students from Pelizaeus-Gymnasium the opportunity to get to know the companies and their fields of activity, products and the associated IT professions.
Marketing Manager Sandro Großert, together with apprentice Valerija Bischke, presented our company to the pupils. Our core business, the optimization of productions with our software solution FASTEC 4 PRO, was vividly explained using our customer Ritter Sport as an example. We also gave the students an insight into the various project phases, such as consulting, design, software development and implementation, etc., as well as the associated activities and qualifications of our employees.
As a small thank-you for their participation, the pupils were given the opportunity to take part in a competition at the end, in which they had to answer questions about the companies and their products correctly. Prizes were raffled off among the participants. Luise Kohlenberg, Elina Spady, Timo Wick and Jonna Ruppel were delighted to be the winners of an EXIT game, an Amazon Echo Show 5, a pair of JBL wireless headphones and a €50 Amazon voucher (from left to right). Thank you for your participation!
The day was a complete success for both the students and our company. We would like to thank all the companies for their commitment, dSPACE for the great organization and wish the students all the best for the future!
