Additional Function Production Logistics: In Detail

The core task of the additional function Production Logistics is the administration of order picking and small parts warehouses in production. This is often done in conjunction with a pick-by-light function. The system continuously monitors your actual material stocks and automatically requests replenishment if necessary. The additional function Production Logistics supports the provision of materials in your production process without being a complete warehouse management system.

You can process the entry of batches of the delivered materials in your incoming goods department in a targeted manner. You can block or release the posted batches and thus transfer them to a production warehouse. You can also transfer warehouse stocks to an existing warehouse management system via an interface. The loading equipment management supports your logistic specialists in transferring pallets. The system supports you in packaging with a container management. The printing of packaging labels is also easily done.

With the automated replenishment control you significantly accelerate the process of material provision. You also optimize your storage capacities in the order picking warehouse. If you, for instance, fall below a self-defined minimum stock level, the system automatically requests the necessary materials from replenishment or reserve storage. Likewise, in your production area you can continuously control the material stock and thus make sure you are never out of stock. In connection with the MES module Machine Data Acquisition (MDA), the assembled articles are counted at the assembly workstation. As soon as a defined quantity of material has been used according to the parts list or a transport lot has been produced, a transport order is automatically generated for the material warehouse. Downtimes caused by missing materials or delays caused by a lack of space can be eliminated almost completely. Of course, you can also record and permanently save quantities delivered in the outgoing goods according to batches and supplied customers. This gives you consistently transparent processes in the internal material flow and complements your warehouse management system perfectly.
