Alerting for Checklists Enhances Automation and Transparency
With version 3.4.8 of FASTEC 4 PRO, the Maintenance module now allows alerts to be triggered when a checklist step is not successfully completed. Responsible employees can respond, review the maintenance order, and take appropriate action. This enhances transparency, ensures clarity, and increases automation.
The Maintenance module in FASTEC 4 PRO enables the integration of a custom checklist with any number of checklist steps into the maintenance plan. The maintenance technician accesses these checklist steps directly on the production client and confirms them upon successful completion.
Assembly Entry Supports Maintenance Requests
For maintenance requests, production staff create a request directly on the corresponding client and select what they believe is defective and needs repair. With version 3.4.8, they now have the option to select a predefined assembly to specify the (suspected) problem location. This aids in decision-making regarding requests and deriving appropriate actions.
Maintenance requests are an effective way to involve employees in the process of machine maintenance and upkeep.
Data Point Triggers Enable Custom Processes
FASTEC has introduced new data point-based triggers in the Quality Assurance and Maintenance modules. This allows employees to define whether triggers should be activated when a data point’s signal edge changes.
Another option is to start an inspection interval based on a trigger when a specific threshold is exceeded or not met. Additionally, a customizable trigger logic can be activated through user-defined programming.
These enhancements in FASTEC 4 PRO provide new possibilities for customizing maintenance and quality assurance processes.
New View for Operation Splits Enables More Effective Production Planning
A new view for operation splits is now available in the MDA/PDA area. These splits are used, for example, to manufacture partial quantities of a production order in parallel on two or more machines.
This gives production planners a full overview of all key information, such as planned workstations or machines, tools, and resources. Additionally, the view offers efficient filtering and grouping options, enabling targeted searches for specific resources, operations, or statuses and organizing them accordingly.
