BODE Chemie GmbH is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers in the field of hygiene and infection protection. Around 400 different products – from disinfection to care and skin antiseptics – are produced at the Hamburg site and sold in more than 50 countries worldwide. Founded in 1924 as Bacillolfabrik Dr. Bode & Co., BODE is now a wholly owned subsidiary of PAUL HARTMANN AG and is characterized by a long tradition of interdisciplinary research and development. In order to expand this expertise, the BODE SCIENCE CENTER, which specializes in research into infection protection, was also founded in 2011.<\/p>

BODE Chemie GmbH has been relying on FASTEC in its production since 2018. “With the help of FASTEC 4 PRO, we want to create end-to-end transparency, from production to filling. Although we are currently still in the introductory phase, we are already seeing the first results,” says Steffen B\u00e4r, Project Manager at BODE Chemie.<\/p>

At least as important as precise data for machine and Production data acquisition is the traceability of the entire project for all employees involved. However, the much-quoted demand ‘Take the people with you’ is easier said than done. Not so at BODE: it is also very important to Steffen B\u00e4r that the meaning and purpose of a step-by-step MDA introduction is comprehensible to everyone. This is the only way to overcome reservations and ensure that the system can be used successfully and quickly. Mr. B\u00e4r heard about the FASTEC Carrera Cup at the 5th FASTEC User Forum \u2013 and initiated the “BODE Cup” without further ado. A short time later, the Carrera track and FASTEC 4 PRO equipment were sent from Paderborn to Hamburg. In a playful and catchy way, employees from a wide variety of areas “learned” how the system works, including the importance and measurement of OEE. The management didn’t take long to get involved either. In the end, they even took first place in the overall ranking. The winner was not begrudged his success, as it was based on tamper-proof facts from FASTEC 4 PRO. Project manager Steffen B\u00e4r was extremely satisfied with the result of his idea. He had achieved his goal: “The colleagues were very interested and the benefits of the new system quickly became clear to them.
