Since its foundation in 1954, NORMBAU has developed from a family business into a manufacturer and global supplier of high-quality, barrier-free and sanitary equipment series, building hardware and electronic access control systems. The company has been part of the Allegion Group since December 2013.<\/p>

At NORMBAU, people and their needs are at the center of product development. The company offers suitable series for every living environment – at home, in clinics and care homes, for age-appropriate residential complexes, for hotels, restaurants and public areas. The developers put their heart and soul into creating products that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The highest quality and the pursuit of a perfect product are essential prerequisites for this. Numerous design awards confirm that the company is on the right track.<\/p>

After a 6-month test phase with easyOEE<\/a> in 2009, NORMBAU decided to digitalize its production processes with FASTEC 4 PRO<\/a> in 2010 and rolled it out across the group in 2011. Since then, the modular software solution has been expanded step by step. NORMBAU GmbH now uses the MDA, PDA, Maintenance, Detailed Scheduling, Alerting, Monitoring, Document Display and Personnel Time Planning modules and Additional Functions.<\/p>

At the beginning of the MES introduction, orders were still registered manually, but this proved to be very time-consuming and prone to errors. The company therefore quickly switched to automatic order registration. The move has paid off. Barcodes generated from the ERP system can now be scanned at the terminal or machine. The View Client of the Additional Function Monitoring is also in use. The current production status is clearly displayed on large screens in the production area at all times. All data is visible in real-time at all levels.
