Comprehensive traceability in real time
Uninterrupted traceability of your products is, on the one hand, relevant for assessing and optimising production processes. However, it also allows you to localise faultily produced items and legally defend yourself in the event
of a claim for damages being made.
The traceability module of our MES system allows you to log and record the entire production process. The module captures and saves in real time the parts-specific production progress of the executed processes.
The following data is recorded:
- the respective workstation,
- the beginning and end of the process,
- the formulation data used,
- the process data captured,
- the raw materials or components included,
- the machine operator logged into the workstation etc.
You can then make use of the logged data by way of an extensive range of evaluation options. This allows an item produced to be clearly identified as belonging to a specific
group by a serial number or by a batch number for instance.
Being able to narrow something down to a certain number of items has the following advantages:
- reduction in the recall quantity and costs in the event of a claim for damages being made
- the ability to clearly identify who is responsible
- precise determination of the causes of the error and the possibility to avoid these in future
Comprehensive traceability also plays a major role in improving product quality and production processes. On the one hand, precise knowledge of the entire manufacturing process means you can exhaust further optimisation potential while on the other hand, you can better understandwhich capacities were necessary for the manufacture of a product.
This allows
- production costs to be minimised,
- product quality to be maximised and
- flawless product delivery to be guaranteed.
At the same time, process locking allows you to operatively intervene in the production process. This allows you to ensure that all necessary prerequisites for the subsequent production step are met before it is started.
